“A major factor in deciding to do the event this year was the partnership with the Heinz Poll Summer Dance Festival” said Horn. “This is a great representation of how the city is working with neighborhood groups to make Akron a better place to live work and play. ” Those attending the event will be greeted at the entrance of the cemetery located at 150 Glendale Ave. with the jazz music of saxophonist Dave Kasper and his travelling trio. The trio includes Kasper on clarinet Tim Keehn on trombone and Aaron Kleinstub on trumpet. The group will be playing Dixieland standards such as “Just a Closer Walk” and “When the Saints Go Marching in. ”The group will roam about the entrance and the first trolley stop to present intimate performances of blues music.
