Mozdzer began playing the piano when he was five and studied classical music before he encountered jazz with which he felt a deep connection. In jazz he found the music that lives unlike classical music for which he commented "(its composers) are already dead now". Nevertheless he finished every stage of his formal education and graduated from the Gdansk Academy of Music in 1996. He was introduced to jazz when he was 18 by Emil Kowalkski a clarinet player. He then joined a self-taught punk jazz band called Milosc (Love) in 1991 after which he collected numerous musical awards.

People relate choir and choral music with only church or gospel music. This is mainly because through the centuries the term has been often applied to groups affiliated with a church. But of late a lot of youth and college choirs have begun foraying into alternative music singing songs that have jazz pop and rock edge to them. Internal choice Sherin Jacob the choir conductor for Christ College Choir in Bangalore believes that the choice to do songs of other genres is not because of external pressure or expectations (even though they do play a role sometimes) but more often internal depending on the current culture. Music for choirs evolved in the 20th century which became a period of experimentation formalisation and development. And a prime example is the Delhi-based group Artistes Unlimited (AU) which is a performing arts platform and has music as its focus. Their director Annette Philip says: “AU believes in experimentation.
