She told Botti her baby was expected to arrive in the next five weeks; the audience was moved as the beautiful sounds of his trumpet seemed to serenade her unborn baby. Botti has proven to the world that he is more than just a pretty face. The recognition he has received as a renowned jazz musician stems from his skill at bringing a new flavor to the world of jazz and popular music which enables him to reach out beyond an audience of jazz aficionados. In Singapore according to senior manager for program marketing at the Esplanade Tay Pui Lin Chris Botti has helped lure the younger generation to jazz music which has been often associated with older generations. But one would be mistaken if they tried to pigeonhole Botti’s music into the regular soft lounge music genre let alone the so-called elevator music. Botti’s music is formidably smooth and multifaceted. And the Grammy-winning instrumentalist offers more during his live performances in which he proves himself as an established musician who knows how to play to please his audience.

We also want to support the Sacramento musicians who aren’t playing (at the Jubilee). But I think it’s going to be a good time and want everyone to feel welcome. “Meanwhile here’s a guide to other shows worth checking out this Memorial Day weekend.
