Coincidentally that response came one day before the bama campaign announced its first ad campaign aimed squarely at black voters. Today the campaign has launched a radio ad airing on three dozen South Carolina radio stations that cater to black audiences according to The Associated Press. The ad uses soft jazz music as background for excerpts of bama’s recent speech before the NAACP ending with him saying “Despite all the progress that’s been made we have more work to do. The same could be said for bama himself. Topping Hillary Clinton in second-quarter fundraising was no small feat but there is a growing expectation that bama needs to show he can put that money to use by taking on Clinton and making inroads among those backing the former first lady. ne of Clinton’s main constituencies? Black voters. Yes her support among African Americans may be due mostly to their affinity for her husband but they won’t switch to any other candidate including bama without a strong effort it looks like the new radio ad may be the start of just that.

on July 28th exciting fans who attend the 2007Latin jazz musical extravaganza held in the Venetian Theatre on the palatial grounds of the Caramoor Estate. The estate is the legacy of Walter and Lucie Rosen who built the great house and manicured grounds in the 1940s as a place to entertain friends and family only later opening it up to the public. Visitors can picnic on the lawns while listening to both classical and jazz music. They can visit the House Museum and enjoy the wonderful acoustics within the Venetian Theatre where concerts take place. This year the festival is focusing on the music of Venezuela and Brazil while exploring the indigenous and traditional music of the Latin culture.
